G2G Agreement Peru

Subsequently, and on the basis of these agreements, specific or operational arrangements are signed between the Peruvian State party as a State party and the State party. This is the case of the intergovernmental agreement or treaty signed by the Peruvian State – through the Ministry of Health – and the French State – through the Egis AP-Hpi consortium – and signed on 27 June 2020; and the Intergovernmental Agreement between the State of Peru and the State of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, signed on 22 June and 6 July 2020. Today, the agreement was signed by the Peruvian government, represented by the Agency for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC), and by the British government, represented by DIT. The Department will support the British companies Mace Limited, Arup Ltd and Gleeds International Ltd in the implementation of the reconstruction programme. Knowledge transfer is at the heart of the UK approach and a common interest in ensuring the resilience and sustainability of infrastructure projects to the effects of climate change. It is clear that there is no single model for G2G agreements to support UK exports, and it is also recognised that the best role of government for the majority of export activities is to get out of the way so that companies can continue what they do best. These agreements are concluded in the first phase by cooperation commitments by which the Peruvian State and the State Party sign the intention to establish a framework for cooperation and working arrangements and communication channels for effective cooperation on issues of common interest. In addition, under these cooperation obligations, the State Party submits to the Peruvian State the implementation team that will be responsible for the implementation of the project(s). In June 2020, the governments of the United Kingdom and Peru signed a Government-to-Government (G2G) agreement with a British consortium of Gleeds, Mace and Arup to support the reconstruction of some of the country`s public service facilities damaged by El Nino in 2017. The agreement is an important milestone for the UK and represents the first G2G deal in which the government directly supports a consortium with a foreign counterpart. However, it is also only the latest step in a development of thinking in the UK about the role of government and industry in promoting and supporting the participation of UK companies in major infrastructure projects around the world. The legacy of these agreements is difficult to maintain with high staff turnover. The implementation of the public service is necessary to ensure the continuity of an effective public administration.

The programme includes both the construction and renovation of 74 schools and 15 new health centres. As El Nino is a recurring phenomenon, the programme also foresees the United Kingdom supporting Peru in the development of integrated management plans for flood protection infrastructure in 17 river basins, 5 gorges and 7 new urban drainage systems. This agreement is valid for two years, from July 2020 to June 2022, with the possibility of a six-month extension. Following the success of the G2G agreement between the UK and Peru for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, this is another excellent example of cooperation between the UK and Peru. It offers an important opportunity for the UK infrastructure industry to work with Peruvian companies on innovative and effective solutions for long-term disaster resilience. UK companies in the construction, water, education and health sectors are perfectly positioned to get involved. After severe damage caused by the El Niño climate cycle in Peru in 2017, the Ministry of International Trade (DIT) signed an intergovernmental agreement (G2G) with the Peruvian government in June 2020 to support the reconstruction of the country`s public service facilities. We are convinced that the signing of this agreement and its immediate implementation in the coming months and years will become an important tool for the economic reactivation of our country. This agreement is valid for two years, from July 2020 to June 2022, with the possibility of extending it by one year. This also applies to the Ministry of Education, which approved by Ministerial Decision No.

397-2020-MINEDU of 29 September 2020 the Directive “State-to-State Contracts for the Execution of Educational Infrastructure Projects of the Ministry of Education”, which applies to the Ministry of Education, its programs and projects involved in the implementation of educational infrastructure projects or investment portfolios under the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, is mandatory.. .
